Having known the difference of High dpi and Low dpi for a long time, I'm surprised sometimes by people who assume 300 dpi and 1 dpi are the same thing. Not that I'm trying to be snobbish, but its just pretty funny.

For those who seriously don't know what DPI is, this is a crash course on dpi.

DPI = Dots per inch

The higher the DPI is, means the closer you can zoom into the image without it getting pixelated. A high dpi also means you won't see those fuzzy dots you see on a low dpi picture.

If you're wondering if there's even an relevance of dpi in art since you work on the computer all the time, the truth is - there's none. If its ONLY for pcs and websites and that's all, there is none. However if you're doing the work for a print out and you want it to look good, the industry standard is 1500 dpi. Yes 1500 dpi. However most people do it in 300 dpi because if you're only printing an A4 size, 300 dpi is sufficient. 1500 dpi will cost low req cpus to lag crazily and/or hang.

Please, at least know this if you call yourself an artist. Especially if you say your specialty is computer graphics.
